LISA LINKS: funding by radical Seattle defund-the-police activist

POSTED 23 June 2023

BREAKING Lisa Brown has just reported today’s deposit of campaign cash that includes some fine Spokane people – whether you like their politics or not.   But … cue the old Muppets tune “One of these things is not like the others.”

A $250 donation from Tamer Abouzeid of Seattle is of great concern.  Who is Tamer?  He is the director of the King County Office of Law Enforcement Oversight (OLEO).

Why does it matter?  Tamer is reported by KTTH as,

“Controversial King County agency leader Tamer Abouzeid deleted hundreds of tweets that landed him in hot water. But he’s now back to posting virtually the same kind of content. It displays a bias that makes him unfit to lead.”

Troubling tweets by Tamer are reported at “Rantz: Director who investigates police under fire for bashing cops”  The above story includes,

“His conduct is generating bipartisan rebukes from the King County Council, as well as the union representing Sheriff’s deputies and the Sheriff herself.”

You can email Lisa Brown and ask her to return this money.  Spokane will not stand for Tamer-Time.
